Roles and Responsibilities

This position is accountable for Reporting activities on IE, DLP, NPV Ratio etc., lead the DVC Training function and multiskilling plan, continuous interaction with central team for weekly updates on KPIs, manage manpower planning data based on MPS volumes, interact with cross-functional teams for day to day activities. Lead projects in product lines pertaining to continuous improvement. Support idea implementation, support MTM, SMB2 and monitor NPV headcount based on required activities.


1.Establish annual multi-skilling plan
2. Monitor and update on monthly basis.
3. Publishing monthly reporting data while interacting with central team
4. Establish and monitor induction plan for new joinees
5. Monitor the development on training cell
6. Monitor the daily activities of trainers and their progress. Coach them from time to time
7. Derive action plans for KPI improvements and share with methods engineers
8. support MTM, SMB2 and monitor NPV headcount based on required activities.

9.Lead CI projects pertaining to continuous improvement.
10. Support idea implementation process and SPS

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical
Job Related Experience: 3 years experience in Manufacturing Industry in case of diploma holders
Business Understanding: Experience in industrial engineering
Others: Basic computer knowledge
Ability to speak the local language(Telugul)

Identify process related issues through SIM meetings; study the down time trends. Define problem areas and identify root cause. Propose solutions to eliminate the root cause; implement and evaluate effectiveness. Update process documents by incorporating the changes. Continually look for ways and means of improving productivity. Implement idea schemes within defined area of work. Maintain & Update MTM dataon continual basis, revisit in case of process changes on yearly basis Full Industrial efficiency,

Implementation of SPS
Implement SPS in production and support functions with reference to lean procedures; Ensure optimization of production floor layouts. Understand LADM and ensure implementation of same; Ensure ergonomy and safety. Be Aware of TPM and make changes in process in line with TPM requirements; Ensure appropriate Methodology and optimization of Material providing and handling. Implement Poke yoke and FMEA where ever required. Partial Implementation of SPS audit score
DVC Training and Multiskilling
Develop the procedures for DVC training and multiskilling starting from induction to enhance the employee efficiency and Safety. Establish the training cell and ensure that the training cell is equipped to suit the requirements of a new joinee
People development

Supportive : Provide support to the person accountable for the results of the work.


SPECIFIC ISSUES

Assistant Engineer Methods is required to perform effective time and motion study and arrive at employee productivity measures. He needs to have good training skills to effectively train the operators; Thus knowledge on local language is important; The job holder is also required to visit vendors for purchase of consumables and ensure uninterrupted production. Similarly the job holder also needs to handle welding processes of fixtures in certain product lines. Coordination with methods and other cross functional teams and data analysis would be a key requisite.
