Roles and Responsibilities
Role : Manager SAP Basis
Exp : 12 to 16 Yrs
Qualification : B.Tech/ M.Tech/ MCA/ MBA/ Msc
Location : Bangalore
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement day-to-day SAP basis administration activities in a complex multi-tier SAP landscape.
- Provide operational and project supportkeeping focus on meeting project milestones.
- Ensure SAP based systems operate reliably and efficiently in a secure environment.
- Ensure the adherence of standards and SAP best practices.
- Maintain close daily contact with vendor led SAP Basis team regarding assignments, work progress and statuses.
- Work closely with functional and business teams in order to adequately support Business requirements.
- Be accountable for the support and proactive monitoring of the core SAP applications including installation, performance, break fixes and change requests per business requirements
- Architect activities during upgrades and major releases with multiple stakeholders, working with Change and Release Management teams.
- Research complex application/System integration issues with functional teams; examine integration between various systems (SAP and non-SAP) for inconsistencies along with Integration Teams.
- Assist with the configuration and maintenance of High Availability and Disaster Recovery SAP solutions. Participate in Disaster Recovery testing to help ensure business continuity.
Educational Qualification:
Work Experience:
Total No. of years: 14-16 years
- Excellent technical understanding of SAP products with a minimum of 10 years of experience in BASIS support.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience managing global SAP BASIS teams providing support to large Production systems in multi-tier environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SAP technical architecture with hands-on experience
- Experience working on SAP large implementation projects including full testing life-cycle and post go-live support.
Experience developing technical documentation, designing blueprints and technical workshops.
Excellent customer service, written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Good understanding of structured project management techniques.
Technical/Functional Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of SAP and HANA databases, as well as working experience of key business applications including SAP ECC, BW, BOBJ, PI/PO, SolMan, Fiori.
- Experience working with SAP installations, upgrades (SAP version, EHP, SPS, Kernel, SUM), maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting of issues and tuning and optimization.
- Good knowledge on OS Windows/Linux administration,SAN storage, failover clustering, SAN replication, and other high availability technologies
- Experience working with middleware, integration and web technologies for SAP solutions.
- Experience working with Cloud solutions for SAP (installation, configuration, migration, testing, support).
Behavioral/Managerial skills:
- As the Basis team lead on strategy and operational support on integrated SAP systems and infrastructure.
- Able to act independently, seeking consultation guidance and advice as appropriate
- Actively develops team members and direct reports by providing day-to-day guidance, feedback and on-the-job coaching
- Strong aptitude, ability, motivation and interest in placing quantitative analysis in the context of marketing and business economics
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
- Highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail
